The Japan International Cooperation Agency (“JICA”) is a governmental agency that coordinates official development assistance (ODA) for the government of Japan. It is chartered with assisting economic and social growth in developing countries, and the promotion of international cooperation.
JICA is focusing on 5 priority fields at Iran that consist of Water Resources Management.
JICA also intends to contribute to human resources’ development in Iran by transferring Japanese know-how and technologies of these sectors.
Base on these, JICA has held some projects at water resource management field that “participatory management at MohammadAbad Village, Golestan Province “is one of the most successful experiences. The project was started at 2008.
Beside the common fields of activities in these areas between Abangah Group and JICA, through a meeting at 21 July 2015, possible cooperation fields like Sharing Experiences, Scientific Exchange and definition of Joint Projects, reviewed.
