Due to the principle of local communities role on environmental conservation programs, identifying and consideration of existing or potential challenges between their benefit and conservation programs is a vital approach. Based on this fact and regards to Abangah successful experiences on sociocultural capacity building for sustainable participatory managements, the group selected to follow the part of 5th phase of cheetah national conservation plan with support of UNDP at Touran biosphere reserve at the end of 2019.

Touran biosphere reserve is located in the Anatolian Iran deserts, representing well the vegetation of arid and semi-arid deserts also is home of one of the largest populations of the critically endangered Asiatic cheetah species.
